Restylane®, Restylane Silk®, and Restylane Lyft® Dallas
Restylane®, Restylane Silk®, and Restylane Lyft®. These fillers are similar products, but with important differences. Restylane Lyft® is a more highly cross-linked product than Restylane®. Crosslinking is the process that allows these products the ability to persist in the tissue and provide long term benefits. Restylane Silk® lasts less than a year (6-9 months), while Restylane® usually lasts for about a year or more before retreatment is necessary. Restylane Lyft® can last about 4 to 6 months longer than Restylane®.
The products look similar but once they are injected, the difference between them is immediately obvious. Restylane Silk® is extremely smooth and soft, and both it and Restylane® flow more readily than Restylane Lyft®. This ability to flow is helpful in the lower eyelid and lip edge where too much fullness is very easy to see after a treatment; Restylane Silk® in particular is ideal for the delicate areas around the lips. As a result, it is important to use a product like Restylane® or Restylane Silk® that holds in the tissue and is not too runny, but at the same time can be manipulated and sculpted for a very natural-looking result.
